Project Coordinator (m,f,x) - Part time"Location: Home-based Term of Reference 1. Job Purpose Syrbanism is looking for a proactive project coordinator to work as an integral member of the core team as we continue to refine our activities. This position holds responsibility for assisting in the design, implementation, improvement, and coordination of projects as well as the provision of organisational and administrative support to Syrbanism team. 2. Experience and requirements A curious mind and a keen interest in the work we do. A master’s (preferred) or bachelor’s (minimum) degree with equivalent experience in the development space (e.g. development studies, urbanism, international relations and humanities, sociology, psychology, or research methods). Ability to work autonomously and efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and working effectively in a teamm Strong initiative, managing own use of time and self-motivated. Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to represent Syrbanism professionally in external relations; ability to explain complex matters in simple terms. Administrative experience in an international and highly professional environment. Sound IT skills, in particular Office 365 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Adobe photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign would be an asset. Excellent English and Arabic writing and oral communication skills. Experience in the international development or non-profit sector is considered a plus. Is a flexible, hardworking and an adaptable team player. Understands intercultural communication and settings. Key responsibilities Conduct background research and synthesise relevant findings on non-profit projects and contexts. Contribute ideas about Syrbanism’s strategy, methodology and innovation. Support on report production, including analysis and formulating recommendations. Contribute to internal learning by preparing case studies, briefs and presentations. Support our communications by doing research, preparing project descriptions, summaries, case studies and blogs, and dissemination of our work and ideas via social media platforms. Manages the calendars and prepares meetings for key team members. Corresponds with partners, external consultants, and suppliers. Maintains and resolves issues related to office administration, supplies, and systems. 4.
